The InviSorb® Lyo Pathogen Kit is designed for manual isolation of pathogen nucleic acids from a wide variety of sample types including human, veterinary, food, plant, and environmental samples incl. wastewater. The kit enables the simultaneous isolation of DNA and RNA from a broad range of pathogen targets, including bacteria, viruses, yeast, mould, and protozoa.
All lysis components are lyophilized in pre-filled Extraction Tubes, utilizing our proprietary RTP® technology, enabling a simplified one-step lysis procedure. This approach reduces hands-on time, centrifugation and pipetting steps, while also minimizing plastic consumption.
The kit uses manual spin filter technology for the isolation of nucleic acids with highest purity and yields. It is intended for non-clinical applications. For human clinical diagnostic applications, requiring CE-IVD certification, we recommend using the RTP® Pathogen Kit.

* For yield determination, please note that nucleic acids purified with this kit contain Carrier RNA (5 μg per 200 μl sample). Photometric quantification will therefore be inaccurate, since the Carrier RNA will also be measured. Quantitative PCR/RT-PCR or fluorometric measurement (e.g. Qubit) are recommended for yield determination.
