InviScreen® SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Test for Wastewater

The InviScreen® SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Test for Surfaces is intended for the rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus in wastewater. The kit employs a real-time reverse-transcription and multiplex amplification strategy for qualitative determination of absence or presence of SARS-CoV-2 in an RNA extract, in a fast and efficient manner. It was designed to detect all published SARS-CoV-2 sequences available and no closely related viruses. The genomic regions used as targets, as well as the primers and probes sequences were based on the recommendations provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The kit includes an Extraction Control (EC) that is added to the wastewater samples to monitor the recovery of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
