The kit uses real-time PCR chemistry with primers targeting highly conserved genomic regions to ensure broad inclusivity across strains. An Internal Amplification Control (IAC) primer set serves as a process control for the presence of PCR inhibitors. The real-time PCR method can be performed on commercially available PCR instruments with FAM/SYBR fluorescence channel.
