Product Details
The InviScreen® CaMV Detection LyoKit is designed for real-time PCR detection of the 35S promoter from the cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV). Because of its extensive use in the first generation of genetically modified plants, detection of the CaMV 35S promoter is common in routine testing. However, as CaMV is a natural infectant of plants belonging to Brassicaceae family (e.g., cauliflower and mustard), false positive results for the 35S promoter may be produced during GMO screening. This kit may be used in combination with InviScreen® GMO Detection kits for the differentiation of products that contain GMO and non-GMO ingredients naturally infected with the CaMV virus.
